Elden Ring DLC is yet to be released so fans have turned to mods to keep themselves occupied. The Sinister Statue Mod from NexusMods promises players a terrifying concoction of the usual horrors of Elden Ring blended with the Weeping Angels of Doctor Who. The description of the mod states that once in combat or spotted by enemies, players will start blinking at regular intervals. However, the enemies in the line of sight of the players will be rendered immobile.

This feels eerily similar to the Weeping Angels of Doctor Who who only move when you are not looking at them. Elden Ring is already filled with some terrifying enemies. With the added difficulty of uncontrolled blinking at regular intervals, the path is paved for some vivid jumpscares.

As the Shadow of the Erdtree Elden Ring DLC is still a little ways off, this Sinister Statue Mod is a good option for players to get a slightly horrifying Doctor Who-esque experience on Elden Ring.

Spice up Elden Ring With the Sinister Statue Mod

Elden Ring is one of the most played games with a dedicated fan base who have been waiting for the Shadow of the Erdtree Elden Ring DLC for over a year. However, the game still has plenty to offer with modders rolling out new mods regularly.

One such modder, Dassav, had already come up with the first-person Elden Ring mod which when combined with the Sinister Statue mod makes for a thrilling horror experience. Something as instinctual as blinking is tough to navigate especially when you have no control over where you blink to.

Thankfully, the description provides players with a semblance of control over the timing of the blinks. The description states,

You can press and hold the interact key (the one that brings up the item pouch) to stop blinking temporarily, or release it early to blink early and reset the timer.

The uncertainty of the blinks adds to the already engaging gameplay of Elden Ring.

Explore Elden Ring in a New Way as You Wait for the DLC

Sinister Statue X FPS mod

The Shadow of the Erdtree Elden Ring DLC has been in the works for quite a while now. Fans are already getting impatient and are demanding a release date from the developers. But as we know, Hidetaka Miyazaki’s team at FromSoftware is working on it and will supposedly release the DLC sometime in 2024.

Till the DLC is released, modders have taken it upon themselves to provide players with brand-new ways to explore the Soulsborne world of Elden Ring. With this Sinister Statue mod, you can hack and saw at enemies as they stay immobilized but make sure to not let them out of your sight. Exactly like the Weeping Angels.

I travel. I game. I write. In no strict order.

The single biggest lie told all around is, "It isn't that simple." It is simple, everything is. And that is what I emulate in my writing. No unnecessary jargons and no flamboyant flourish. Just what's needed to get your imagination going. After all mind has no limit, unlike the written word.
