Elden Ring is one of the greatest Soulslike games ever made by FromSoftware, and the gaming community is trying its hardest to overcome one omnipotent foe before the release of the upcoming expansion. Games like this require brawling, but players often overlook what the brain can do.
The developers revealed one annoying requirement before advancing to the expansion, which is to defeat Mohg, a powerful enemy and only a handful of players have achieved the impossible. Despite all the training, there is one method that will melt him to pieces immediately.
Elden Ring Players May Want to Reconsider Their Builds
![Sometimes it is best to keep your distance in Elden Ring.](https://fwmedia.fandomwire.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/17160416/Elden-Ring-2-5-1024x576.jpg)
Ever since the developers shared the requirement of having to defeat the boss before advancing to the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, the numbers are not looking all that great for on specific platform for Elden Ring players. The gaming community still has time to accomplish the impossible and actively looks for better methods and load-outs to defeat Mohg.

One player took a different approach, was far more comfortable fighting the boss from a great distance, and used magic-based ranged attacks that melted the powerful boss within seconds. It can be daunting to review the entire loadout and build, but it is for the best. Other methods will require players to get up close and comfortable within the reach of the boss, which can be risky, unlike this ranged method.
There is no shame in seeking help or advice from more skilled players but players should also listen to their gut and play it safe. For players who are simply looking for a quick and easy solution to play the expansion, this is the safest way to do so without having to risk their mental state.
Shadow of the Erdtree Will Force Players to Think Outside the Box
![The gaming community can either work hard or work smart to play the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.](https://fwmedia.fandomwire.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/18115521/Shadow-of-the-Erdtree-Elden-Ring-1-1024x576.webp)
Soulslike games are meant to be tough, and director Hidetaka Miyazaki does feel a bit of remorse for making them way harder than they should be. The reasoning behind his creative decision may seem cruel, but it is for the greater good. Players will feel the need and urge to return and vanquish those who defeated them and eventually destroy them, and the feeling of victory will forever remain.
Being defeated constantly builds character, and the developers are using this as a metric for the gaming community to determine if they are prepared to venture into uncharted territories and beyond the unknown of the Land of Shadow. This one boss could be a taste of how difficult the road ahead will be.
The gaming community needs to have a quick refresher before embarking on a new journey, especially since FromSoftware confirmed that this will be the only expansion and will be equal in size and content to the base game.
Perhaps players who are stuck should use this method, which is much safer and more efficient. It doesn’t matter how it is done, as long as they can get it done before the release date.
