Players know that he continuously needs encouragement to gain confidence. He also helps players alter their armor in some ways. He also mentions his mother once in a while, but his exact origin is unknown to anyone. But this one Redditor seems to have locked in on his father!

Wild fan theory names who Boc’s father might be

While exploring Limgrave at the start of the game, players would hear a voice. Someone calls out to them but is not visible. When players beat around the bushes in that area, they would uncover none other than Boc. He is a sad creature who is all too conscious of how he looks.

After a brief chat, he would move to the coastal cave in Limgrave. Players can find him sitting near the site of grace inside that cave. In the same cave, there’s a mini-boss called Demi-Human Chief. If players kill him, they get items called tailoring tools and sewing needle.

If players gave it to Boc, he would start altering garments for players. Eventually, players would come across an item called the Golden Sewing Needle, and they would buy themselves a boss item from Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold. They would then be able to have a conversation with Melina about Boc.

The gist of the story is that he is not happy with how he looks. He requests that the player bring them a Larval Tear so that he can take it to Rennala and turn himself into a human. But players can simply find a prattling pate “You’re Beautiful” and change his mind. This poor creature would then dedicate his life to serving the player.

So, where did he come from? If Redditor apexPrickle is to be believed, he is the son of Kenneth Haight. Yes, the same guy who asks players to free Fort Haight of any enemies. He seems a bit unhinged, though, as he claims to be the next ruler of Limgrave. This theory by apexPricle points out that the “You’re Beautiful” prattling pate is shaped like a demihuman head.

This suggests that Boc’s mother was a demihuman too. Given the fact that all he talks about is his mother, he explains how she always thought he was beautiful. He learned the art of sewing from his mother, who herself was a seamstress. And that too of nobles, as she knew how to alter the armor of the gods.

This is where Kenneth Haight comes in, who talks to players about the possibility of “co-mingling” humans with demihumans. And he also claims that it is pretty normal in the Golden Order. He also made this his own personal project to bring about peace between humans and demihumans.

It might have happened that Kenneth Haight fell for Boc’s mother during his mission to start a peaceful friendship between humans and demihumans. It’s an intriguing theory that pretty much speaks for itself. There’s a chance Boc is the estranged son of Kenneth Haight; maybe they will meet someday.

Are demihumans really capable of being peaceful?

Castle Morne

In the world of Elden Ring, demihumans have taken over a number of places. Castle Morne is one such example of their infestation. They took over the castle and its roads, and they slew the innocent. Some say they were just servants in that castle that retaliated against its owners.

But still, they killed other servants, and in other places too, they have shown their brutality in several ways. So yes, Boc might be the peaceful offspring of a demihuman mother, but she is nowhere to be found. His father lives, but where is his mother? Maybe she just could not be civil and was slain?

Let’s not forget that Fort Haight is also infested by demihuman enemies. It looks like they don’t care for the fact that Kenneth Haight married one of their own.
