Talking to Yahoo Entertainment, Emilia Clarke opened up about a dangerous moment on set which could have caused serious injury to her co-star. She stated that after being told to drive an old Russian car which she had no experience with, she almost drove into Samuel L. Jackson.

“They put me in a Lada, which is like a very old Russian car. And I got in, and I was like, ‘Hey, what’s with the six [shift knobs] up in here? Which one am I using? Why does it have 10 pedals? It’s [like] a tractor… I know how to drive. I know how to drive a stick. [But there wasn’t] enough time. They’re saying, ‘We’ve gotta go. We’re shooting. Come on, honey. Just go. We’re gonna go.’ We get up to it. The camera is right there. Sam is right there. And I pressed the wrong thing; I pressed the accelerator rather than the brake.”

Well, that could have ended badly for Jackson who was nothing but “very gentlemanly and lovely and nice” about the almost-accident. Clarke then added, “Then I cried a little bit and someone else drove [the car] for me.” It looks like the Game of Thrones actress brought home all kinds of memories from the Secret Invasion set!

In another interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Clarke could not stop gushing over Marvel and how the franchise is absolutely incredible. She stated that Marvel is more than just a superhero franchise and called it the best in the business.

“It’s just the best [franchise]. It’s the best of all of those things. It’s such a pedigree in its own right. It lives it its own level that is separate from everything else. It isn’t just a superhero franchise. It’s Marvel. Yeah. It’s totally different…There’s an ease and a calm that I think comes with them being the best, and maybe understanding that they’re the best.”

Clarke then went on to compare Marvel and Game of Thrones, a series that made her a household name. And it looked like the actress was leaning a bit toward the former.

“You know, Game of Thrones [was] such a unique experience for me because we didn’t know what the hell we were doing for most of the time. And then it just became this big thing, and we were sort of, we just rode that journey all the way. This you’re stepping in and everyone’s already [on] their A-game. It’s lovely.”

Clarke plays the role of Talos’ grown-up Skrull daughter who was last seen in Captain Marvel as a young child. So far, both Secret Invasion and Clarke’s performance have received positive reviews from the audience and we hope it’s only upward from here!
