Actress Emily Blunt worked with Tom Cruise in the film Edge of Tomorrow. It was a science fiction action film that dealt with the concept of alien invasion and time loops. The story is adapted from the 2004 Japanese light novel All You Need Is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. It was one of the heavy-budget films and did an average business on the box office. There were numerous stunts and action scenes performed by stars. However, in the later part of the film, the actress Emily Blunt refused to do stunts, which left Cruise baffled.
Emily Blunt revealed in an interview that Tom Cruise was a perfect gentleman with her and took extra care of her during shoots when she was pregnant.

Emily Blunt became the mother of her first child in 2014, the same year her film Edge of Tomorrow was released. The actress was pregnant during some scenes of the film. She recalled in an interview that her co-star Tom Cruise was very protective of her during those times.
The Oppenheimer star recalled during her appearance at The Graham Norton Show that she was pregnant during the shoot. She made the revelation when she was promoting her sci-fi film with Tom Cruise.
Blunt shared,
“For some additional photography, I was pregnant but it was still early and I wasn’t really telling anyone. So Tom was confused as to why I wasn’t engaging with all the stunts, as I was game when we did them originally.”
“So I told him I was growing a human. He was so cute about it and protected me – he almost went overboard in helping me. In the end, I had to say, “Tom. I’m fine, I can do stairs!”’
Emily Blunt is married to John Krasinski, and they are parents of two daughters, Hazel and Violet.
Tom Cruise is a parent to his two adopted children with his first wife Nicole Kidman, and has one biological child with Katie Holmes.

Blunt opened up on her experience of working in a sci-fi film with Tom Cruise in an interview. She appeared on an episode of Smartless, co-hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett. She talked about wearing an 85-pound enormous robotic suit for the role. The Devil Wears Prada actress recalled that she cried when she wore the suit for the first time. She feared she’d be unable to move or act in it.
Emily Blunt shared,
“It was so heavy that the first time I put it on, I just started to cry — in front of Tom,” Emily said. “And he didn’t know what to do. He just stared at me and was like: ‘I know. I know. I know.’ I was like: Tom, I’m not sure how I’m going to get through this shoot’ and I started to cry. ‘I’m just feeling a bit panicky about the whole shoot.’ And he literally stared at me for a long time, not knowing what to do, and he goes, ‘Come on, stop being such a p****, OK?'”
Tom Cruise’s comment had gone viral on social media and received a lot of backlash. However, the actress clarified that he said that to make her laugh, and it worked.
