At the 2017 Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF), Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling were awarded its Outstanding Performer of the Year Award for La La Land. During the event, the actors also talked about several important aspects of their life including facing rejection in the beginning.

The former talked about her experience mentioning that her family and friends’ support made her strong enough to tackle with failure she faced initially. She further mentioned that she would have gone to explore other things in her life had acting not worked out for her, but it still is her best job.

“I mean, the things I love have expanded and there’s things that I’m interested in a big way now outside of acting, but it still is the best job I can imagine.”

It is when she jokingly dragged her La La Land co-star into the conversation as she shared, 

“I truly love it, even when it’s infuriating, like for instance working with Ryan or just basically working with Ryan.”

Even the Barbie actor couldn’t help but nod his head in agreement keeping his expression as stern as he could which left the audience in laughter. Their insane chemistry is so strong that the actress has even declared her true feelings for Gosling who has a special corner in her heart.

Back in 2018, the Easy A actress couldn’t help but gush over her Crazy, Stupid, Love co-star at the 45th annual Telluride Film Festival. During a Q&A session (via US Weekly), she confessed how the latter has a huge impact on her personal and professional life. 

“I can’t even imagine what my life would be without Ryan,” Stone talked about her “dear, wonderful friend.” 

She added, 

“He’s so special. It makes me emotional. He’s so talented but he’s such a great person to work with because he’s so collaborative and excited about the process. He’s taught me a lot about being really generous.”

Their dynamics have left everyone spellbound who has continued to win fans’ hearts with their projects. Even the actor felt comfortable working with the actress on the projects as it became easy to work without thinking much about getting to develop chemistry with one another.
