Emma Watson On The Necessity Of A Passionate Kiss For Her Kissing Scene With Daniel Radcliffe

In the world of Harry Potter, emotions ran high, and the dynamics between characters often faced unexpected turns. For a scene in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 1, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson had to kiss each other to evoke jealousy and turmoil in Rupert Grint’s character. The intensity of the scene increased exponentially as both actors had to be topless for that particular scene. The Beauty and the Beast star believed that a passionate kiss between Harry and Hermione was necessary to justify the story and also shared her perspective on the kiss.

“I think for the scene, it obviously had to be something that would really disturb Ron, that would make him really jealous and upset, so I think the kiss had to be passionate from Hermione’s end. I gave you ten out of ten for kissing.’ I was like, ‘All right, as long as it’s positive I guess it’s fine’.”
