To enable this feature, players will need a GOG account, which serves as the entry point into cross-platform gaming. After that, they will have to link their game accounts on all the platforms that they want to play on. Once the matchmaker has been taken care of and all the accounts have been linked, the only major step left is to turn on cross-progression in the game’s settings.

Firstly, to start the process of cross-progression, players will have to start the game and going into its main menu. This is followed by going into the “Settings” tab, which is the little cogwheel icon that acts as a control center.

Players should also consider the compatibility of their platforms before opting for cross-progression in Cyberpunk 2077. While it seems like a wonderful feature, unfortunately, it is not available in the following regions:
- Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates
- Bahrain
- Kuwait
- Oman
- Qatar
- Japan
If a save file was created within one of these regions, it can only be loaded into a version from the same region. Furthermore, files saved outside these areas will not work with the regions mentioned.
