No matter how often Johan Pilestedt kept insisting the blue beams weren’t real and wouldn’t hurt the players, divers in Helldivers 2 kept bringing more evidence. One diver brought the clearest proof that the lasers and the Terminids are all real after a clear screenshot was shared on the Helldiver’s official Reddit forum.

While the screenshot was clear as day, many of those who commented on the post wished the player had recorded the gameplay instead of taking a screenshot. The blue lasers were the point of several speculations linking them to the upcoming third faction in the game, the Illuminates.

Several divers continue to comment and post about playing for hours but not finding a blue laser in Helldivers 2, until now. One of the divers has now finally found clear evidence that the flying Terminids and the infamous blue lasers exist for real.

They were both continually dismissed as not being real as they were rare and were only spotted by a select group of random players so far. This has now sparked more discussions about whether the infamously discussed third faction could finally be unveiled soon.

As speculations about the existence of the blue lasers grew more and more, Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt even went on to state the lasers were not real.

As of now, Helldivers 2 has two factions, bugs and robots and there are high speculations of a third faction being added to the game soon called the Illuminate. The blue lasers were linked to these upcoming Illuminate factions but were not spotted by many leading to several players dismissing the fact that they exist in the game, even though a handful of divers kept claiming to have seen them.

Several fans commented on the Reddit post shared above wishing to have seen a video of the Terminids and the blue lasers streaking across the sky instead of a screenshot after the image was dismissed as being fake.

That wasn’t a problem for this Helldiver who recorded his gameplay in which several streaks of blue lasers were seen.

Fans were still astounded to have seen the lasers in action in a recorded gameplay video as one of them commented that they’ve played “non-stop and still haven’t seen this or the flying bugs.” The more days go by, the more evidence players are bringing to the table of the Terminids and the blue lasers as being rather real.

The Illuminate factions are now highly anticipated by fans of the game and while there has not been an official update about it, players continue to come up with speculation and theories.
