Apart from being one of the most stunning actresses there are in the entertainment industry, Elizabeth Olsen is also an extraordinarily friendly and super witty person. Although best known for her spectacular performance as Wanda Maximoff aka The Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Olsen isn’t too proud of her shooting experience of the same.

As it turns out, the Wind River actress specifically had an embarrassing shooting experience for her first Marvel movie Avengers: Age of Ultron, and isn’t even too proud to see her pictures as The Scarlet Witch from the sets of the film because of a rather strangely genuine reason.

Although Elizabeth Olsen was widely commended for her impeccable performance as Wanda Maximoff aka The Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron, she deserves to be praised even more because of all the efforts she had to put off-screen just to get her part in the most perfect manner.

According to what she shared on The Graham Norton Show following The Avengers sequel premiere, the WandaVision star had a considerably hard time while shooting. And the reason is truly bizarre. Explaining her character in the movie and how they shot it because it was her first appearance as The Scarlet Witch on the big screen, she said:

“It’s kind of funny being on set when everyone’s having this ‘contact fighting’, and I’m just flailing my arms just hoping… I can control minds but also, when we fight, I would be shooting energy balls out of my hands but only in my imagination. [Yeah, because otherwise, it would be absurd.] Yes! That would never happen [in real life].”

Continuing, Graham Norton asked her if the VFX managers had previously explained and shown her what she was going to look like on-screen. To this, Olsen said,

“No! There’s a lot of trust involved.”

Imagine Elizabeth Olsen merely flailing her arms around while everyone else around her is simply fighting with their fists and legs? Hilarious, indeed, but all the more reason to praise the incredible actress for creating such a remarkable on-screen image of The Scarlet Witch without even knowing what she would truly end up looking like.

Elizabeth Olsen Is Not Proud Of Her Photos From Avengers: Age of Ultron Sets

Following her chucklesome revelation of how she enacted The Scarlet Witch while pretending to have her powers, Graham Norton went on to show the following picture of Elizabeth Olsen from the sets of Avengers: Age of Ultron:

This had everyone burst out laughing including Olsen herself. Pointing out Jeremy Renner‘s reaction to the Godzilla actress just sitting right there pretending to use her powers, Norton remarked:

“Even Jeremy Renner is really unimpressed.”

He went on to then bring the attention to the woman at the bottom of the picture who is looking incredibly uninterested and certainly not looking like she’s scared for her life. Commenting on her, The Graham Norton Show host said,

“I wouldn’t say this woman’s fleeing for her life.”

Considering all the expressions and reactions she is getting from everyone around her in the picture, we don’t really blame Elizabeth Olsen for being not too proud of her pictures from the Age of Ultron sets.

Nonetheless, Olsen’s perfect job of embodying her character and absolutely nailing it on the big screens just by putting all her trust in the directors, producers, and editors, is more than worth commending.
