When the Hashiras were falling, it was seen that few of them had red background lighting, while others had yellow background lighting. Characters like Obanai, Mitsuri, Gyomei, and Muichiro had a red background. On the other hand, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Sanemi, Giyu, etc., had a yellow background. According to the fan theory, red signifies death, while yellow signifies life.
The manga readers know who will survive and who won’t. Ufotable teased the same outcomes in the season 4 finale. The animation studio might have made the death list public.
