Demon Slayer season 4 has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. On top of the staggering plot, fans were treated to one of the best animations in anime history. Ufotable performed admirably. The season 4 finale saw Kibutsuji Muzan almost get incinerated by Ubuyashiki’s bombing. Thanks to his extraordinary regeneration power, he regained his human form. However, his regeneration was slowed down due to Tamayo’s master plan.

Ubuyashiki and his daughters sacrificed themselves to kill Muzan. It was one of the most selfless acts in Demon Slayer. While most fans were immersed in the cinematic brilliance, few of them noticed a particular spoiler ahead of season 5. Ufotable might have broken millions of hearts with subtle details that even Koyoharu Gotouge was unaware of.

Recently, one of the Reddit users posted a picture of the last moment of the Demon Slayer season 4 finale. When the Hashiras were falling, it was seen that few of them had red background lighting, while others had yellow background lighting. Characters like Obanai, Mitsuri, Gyomei, and Muichiro had a red background. On the other hand, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Sanemi, Giyu, etc., had a yellow background. According to the fan theory, red signifies death, while yellow signifies life.

The manga readers know who will survive and who won’t. Ufotable teased the same outcomes in the season 4 finale. The animation studio might have made the death list public. It is a great detail to add in the end. It might be a way to prepare for the upcoming battle and the grave consequences that might come along with it. Even Koyoharu Gotouge would be surprised after Ufotable handed out the spoilers.

The Infinity Castle Arc Will Not Be The Final Demon Slayer Arc

The Infinity Castle arc is the beginning of the end. It will feature the battle between the Hashiras and the Upper Moons. Both factions would be tested to their limits. After the Upper Moons were defeated, the Sunrise Countdown arc would begin. It will involve Kibutsuji Muzan’s final form. So, there is more to come than the fans think of. On top of that, all the Hashiras would awaken their Demon Slayer marks.

The spoilers teased by Ufotable may have been targeted at the manga readers since anime watchers would not know about it. It was a clever tactic used by the animation studio. With so much hype around Demon Slayer, the fans are expecting it to go out with a blast. There won’t be a fifth season, per se. Koyoharu Gotouge’s magnum opus would follow Haikyu’s footsteps and end the anime with a series of films.

Demon Slayer is available on Crunchyroll.
