However, they have never gone overboard to the point of making an R-rated film, excluding the upcoming movie Deadpool & Wolverine. Waititi’s 2017 film featured some edgy humor, but he was not courageous enough to showcase a scene that would have been the most talked-about NSFW MCU moment in the project.

Although the scene never made it to the final cut of the movie, it would leave you speechless and creeped out, which would have made Thor 3 the first R-rated MCU film.

Taika Waititi Thought of Adding The Most Unhinged S*x Scene In Thor: Ragnarok

Marvel loves its artistic liberty, as they get to infuse their creativity with unparalleled creativity that knows no limitations. Writers reimagine the story in bold and creative ways to narrate it.

One such fearless approach was in Thor: Ragnarok, which gave Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster the last laugh despite not being an active part of the scene. Taika Waititi had planned a bold scene that took place on the Grandmaster’s pleasure ship.

According to reports from Nerdist, the scene commences when Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and his friends escape Sakaar through the Devil’s A**s.

While this was too much to take in, another provocative scene followed it, where a hologram of the Grandmaster would be seen passionately making out with a pair of tentacles.

In the video, it could also be seen that the character caresses the tentacles, even patting them against his face, where he moans with his mouth wide open. Moreover, Thor and Bruce Banner are awkwardly trying to hold a conversation, attempting not to make the situation any more weird.

However, this was one of the raunchy scenes that did not make it into the final cut of the film. As a result, the rating was maintained at PG-13. While the Jojo Rabbit actor was not unhinged enough to add the scene, he did something unconventional in the film.

Taika Waititi Did The Most Unexpected Thing To Karl Urban in Thor 3

Before Karl Urban made a name for himself as Billy Butcher in Eric Kripke’s The Boys, he was a Marvel star known for portraying the role of Skurge, Hela’s executioner.

During an exclusive interview with Marvel Entertainment, the actor opened up about how Waititi greeted him on the set, shaved off his hair, and went back to directing. He said,

I turned up on set and Taika, our esteemed director, greeted me… and shaved this off. He literally stopped directing the movie and came out and shaved my head, and then went back to directing.

Nevertheless, the actor enjoyed every moment of the film, saying, “I embraced it.” The film was a massive hit, and according to The Numbers, the sequel grossed $850.4 million at the worldwide box office, making it one of the most successful films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

However, fans did not like his contribution to Thor: Love and Thunder, as he made a mockery of the characters, removing every good scene in the film, including an epic fight scene between Jaimie Alexander and Christian Bale.

Thor: Ragnarok can be streamed on Disney+.
