With the Oscar season in full swing, several actors, movies, projects, and crew members have been nominated for various awards. Surprisingly, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie are not on the list of Oscar nominations but they aren’t alone.
Alongside the actor and the actress, there are several people, movies, and crew members who did not receive an Oscar nomination. Several big-name celebrities, worldwide famous movies, and, iconic scores are missing from the nomination list and people are disheartened.
Leonardo DiCaprio Did Not Receive Any Oscar Nominations
Starring in Martin Scorsese’s 2023 Killers of the Flower Moon, DiCaprio portrayed the role of Ernest Burckhart, a man trying to protect the Osage nation from greed. With an iconic portrayal and starring alongside Robert De Niro and Lily Gladstone, the actor received worldwide fame for his portrayal.
Alongside DiCaprio, Baywatch star Zac Efron starred in the iconic movie The Iron Claw. Depicting the story of the Von Erich brothers who revolutionized wrestling in the 1980s, Efron portrayed quite a spectacular character. Sadly, neither Leonardo DiCaprio nor Zac Efron received an Oscar nomination for their hard work in the category of Best Actor in a Lead Role.
Margot Robbie Was Snubbed of Her Award
Starring in the iconic role of Barbie in Greta Gerwig’s 2023 film Barbie, Margot Robbie surprisingly did not receive a nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role! This move was booed around the world since Barbie earned a whopping $1.44 billion at the global box office.

Not only Margot Robbie but Greta Lee, who portrayed the role of Nora in Past Lives also did not get an Oscar nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role. The A24 film made quite the headlines around the world but sadly, Lee was not a part of the recognition that the movie received!
John Wick 4, Past Lives, And, Rachel McAdams Were Left Behind!
John Wick: Chapter 4, starring Keanu Reeves and an ensemble cast of many great actors was left out of the Oscar race. The film, alongside The Iron Claw and Priscilla, received 0 Oscar nominations which is quite surprising to hear.
Alongside the movies, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem was left out of the Best Animated Film while Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was not nominated for a Best Original Score! For the role of Barbara Simon, Rachel McAdams did not receive a nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.
