The talented English actress Vanessa Kirby has been making her way in Hollywood recently, and her rise is set to continue. Her most prominent roles include playing Alanna Mitsopoli, AKA White Widow, in 2018’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout and 2023’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Hattie Shaw in 2019’s Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Empress Joséphine in 2023’s Napoleon, and Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, in Netflix’s The Crown.

On Valentine’s Day 2024, Marvel Studios announced her as the new Sue Storm, AKA the Invisible Woman, and she will debut as the character in 2025’s The Fantastic Four.

Untitled Eighth Mission: Impossible Film (2025)

The as-yet-untitled eighth Mission: Impossible movie will be a direct sequel to 2023’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. Vanessa Kirby will reprise her role as Alanna Mitsopoli, AKA White Widow, whom she’s already played to perfection in two Mission: Impossible films. Mitsopoli is witty, intelligent, playful, and incredibly flirty. It’ll be great to see her again alongside other returning stars like Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell, and Pom Klementieff, with Christopher McQuarrie returning to direct.

It’s not yet known precisely what the plot will be in this sequel, but it will be fantastic if it’s anything like its predecessor. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One was arguably the best installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise to date, which is saying something. It was brilliantly directed and performed, with some of the most epic action set-pieces in the genre’s history – and it felt like the stakes were genuinely high, with the kind of threat most films spectacularly fail to create.

Eden (2025)

The brilliant Ron Howard will direct the survival thriller Eden. It will follow a group of people who abandon modern society and civilization to travel to the Galápagos Islands and discover the meaning of life. Beyond that, little is known about the film, but the superstar director and the confirmed cast should excite everyone for its arrival.

Alongside Vanessa Kirby, whose role in the film remains a mystery, the ensemble includes Ana de Armas, Jude Law, Daniel Brühl, Sydney Sweeney, Richard Roxburgh, Felix Kammerer, and Toby Wallace. It’s difficult to see how a movie with that array of talent can fail under Howard’s experienced and nuanced direction.

The Fantastic Four (2025)

The coming of the Fantastic Four to the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been known for some time, with the team’s eponymous movie set to arrive in July 2025 as part of the MCU’s Phase Six. However, it wasn’t until Valentine’s Day this year that the actors who’ll play the team’s members were all confirmed.

Pedro Pascal will play Reed Richards, AKA Mister Fantastic; Vanessa Kirby will play Sue Storm, AKA the Invisible Woman; Joseph Quinn will play Johnny Storm, AKA the Human Torch; and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will play Ben Grimm, AKA the Thing in the hotly anticipated superhero film. That’s a great cast, and while the plot of the movie and the team’s broader role in the future of the MCU is unknown, it’s enough to make the movie exciting – especially with WandaVision director Matt Shakman overseeing it.

With all of that in mind, everyone should be excited about all of Vanessa Kirby’s upcoming movie projects, and to see where her quickly rising star takes her in the years beyond these films.
