Fans have up until recently continuously blamed Rockstar Games for the delay in GTA 6. However, The Elder Scrolls VI has gone unnoticed and scot-free. Now since GTA 6 has a release window and fans know that the game is coming to the latest generation consoles, all eyes are now on Bethesda.

The shocking fact is that despite being almost six long years, the game hasn’t completed its development phase and fans have no knowledge about the plot or even where the game will be set. Moreover, The Elder Scrolls VI doesn’t even have a concrete release date as of now.

Although some official documents have previously hinted at a 2026 release window, the developers haven’t come out to confirm it, and as such players should take this information with a pinch of salt. Moreover, the game may even be pushed further because the developers were previously focused on Starfield.

The Elder Scrolls VI might be a next-generation console game

It is obvious that the fans of Bethesda’s long-running game series are frustrated by the dearth of game-related news. Moreover, The Elder Scrolls VI, according to a lot of fans, may be a game that will be released for the upcoming generation consoles.

However, some fans are expecting that The Elder Scrolls VI will ultimately make its way to Sony’s console as well. This assumption has been made because Microsoft has begun releasing some of its Xbox exclusives to the PlayStation 5 and Switch.

With that being said, it looks like the game will come to the next-generation PlayStation and skip the current one. Moreover, some Xbox users are afraid that The Elder Scrolls VI won’t even make it to the Xbox Series X/S.

The reason for this assumption is that, despite being disclosed six years ago, the game does not even have a confirmed release date and only a 2026 release window. Because of this, some fans are of the opinion that the game will be launched on Microsoft’s next-generation platform instead of the Xbox Series X/S.
