Ke Huy Quan recently made headlines after winning a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once. The Indiana Jones: Temple Doom, Short Round who went on a long 20-year hiatus shocked everyone with his stunning performance. Quan ever since has been able to recreate the buzz which surrounded him during the times of Indiana Jones. Not to forget Quan’s next major career milestone is his debut in Marvel Cinematic Universe through Loki Season 2.
Ke Huy Quan is All Set to Star in Loki Season 2
Ke Huy Quan’s commencement in MCU was officially announced by Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige on the second day of the D23 expo. Quan was seen alongside his fellow cast including Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, and Sophia Di Martino who appeared on-stage alongside the Everything Everywhere All at Once star. Post the announcement a short clip from Loki season 2 was released featuring Ke Huy Quan.
Though Feige didn’t reveal the details of Quan’s character, based on the footage revealed it looks like The Indiana Jones: Temple Doom star will be playing a role of an employee of Time Variance Authority. Quan revealed how Marvel head Kevin Feige contacted him and invited him over to join MCU.
“When our movie came out, the first phone call I got was from Kevin Feige, who graciously asked me if I wanted to join the MCU. And I called Jonathan and the gang, and I said, ‘You know what, nobody wants to hire me except Stephen Spielberg, George Lucas, The Daniels, and Kevin Feige.’ It’s been incredible. 2022 is the year I will always remember because it’s one of the happiest years of my life.”
Ke Huy Quan’s Comeback Saga
Quan won his audience’s hearts as a kid through his marvelous performance in 1980s movies like Indiana Jones: Temple Doom and The Goonies. The Vietnamese-American actor’s long hiatus which made people forget his name didn’t lose his charm which is evident by his performance in his latest release. The internet is filled with Quan’s praise and support ever since his big comeback in Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Loki Season 2 which was renewed last year will pick up the story from where Loki Season 1 left. Loki Season 1 revolved around the alternate version of Loki, the God of mischief who created a new timeline and landed in Time Variance authority after stealing Tesseract as shown in Avengers: Endgame. Loki season 2 is renewed for six episodes and no official release date has been announced so far. Yet it is safe to assume that Loki Season 2 will be released on Disney+ in mid- 2023.
