 On the set of the 61-year-old actor’s film, there were many challenges as filming got underway during the global pandemic. Everything the Top Gun actor cared about was once at risk, according to one of his co-stars and friends.

Simon Pegg recalls why Tom Cruise warned a crew member during the filming

The filming of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One began in February 2020. Just when the global pandemic started spreading all around the world. Tom Cruise was quite worried because he realized that this would affect the production of his future picture. Therefore, he made sure every person on the set was maintaining social distance. 

Simon Pegg who is also a significant part of the Mission Impossible series, recalled how The Mummy actor reacted when he saw a crew member breaking social distancing rules. While talking about the incident, Pegg recalled Cruise saying, “Do that again and you’re gone.” The 53-year-old actor also recalled how worried the 61-year-old actor was during the filming, he said

“Everything that Tom cares about, in terms of his job, was at stake due to the pandemic. For him, there was a danger this virus could wipe cinema off the face of this earth.

Pegg plays the character of Benji Dunn in the Mission Impossible series. He will be once again seen in action in the upcoming action movie.

Simon Pegg says he fears losing Tom Cruise when he is performing stunts

The Hot Fuzz actor’s character in Cruise’s action-adventure movie has always been the mastermind behind the keyboards. Dunn is brave but Pegg is happy that his character isn’t performing many stunts in the movie. The Absolutely Nothing actor revealed that he often gets very concerned about the Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation actor when he is the one doing all the stunts. While talking about Cruise, Pegg said,

“You know, I’m lucky because Benji just kind of stays behind the computer and he does his thing. Tom is jumping off cliffs on a motorbike he’s hanging him you know, hanging off trains — it’s genuinely dangerous stuff. There’s always a sense that, you know, one day, something might go wrong we might lose Tom, you know. Anytime there’s a big stunt, we all have that sense of, you know, fear, but he always pulls it off.”

In Mission Impossible 7, many old and new faces will be spotted in action. Rebecca Ferguson is back as Ilsa Faust and Ving Rhames will be seen again as Luther. Hayley Atwell will be the new face in Cruise’s action movie. She will be playing the role of Grace.
