Sylvester Stallone’s, 1986 superhit film Cobra might be making a return unconventionally. The film was a huge hit, and it made $160 million. However, despite this fantastic success, it did not get a sequel, and for many years it remained forgotten. Nevertheless, this might change now as Stallone revealed in a media interaction that there were plans for making the film into a TV series.

The actor further explained that in recent years, police brutality and related issues have gained public attention, and this is why the film Cobra, which was based on policing units, would be super relevant.

Fans of the original film, are super excited to see the TV show avatar of the project. However, it isn’t clear whether Stallone himself would be in the show or not. Regardless, the film had a fantastic concept and intriguing characters in it. Making it into a TV series is a brilliant idea that holds enormous promise.

In an interview, Stallone revealed that he has planned to revive his 1986 American action film Cobra into a television series. The actor opened up about the television series project he is working on with American director Robert Rodriguez, though he didn’t spill many details about the highly anticipated series. However, he might make a cameo in the show. The 77-year-old star said,

“That [conceit] was, ‘What if Bruce Springsteen had a gun?’ That was rock n’ roll meets drama. That should have been another franchise because that character was so cool. And I blew it. My personal life got in the way. But we’re trying to bring it back as a streaming TV series. Bring out the zombie squad. I’m long gone, but the idea is really good.” 

 George P. Cosmatos-directed film Cobra starring Sylvester Stallone, received critical acclaim, and the actor has often said that it is one of the best films of his career. It would be a star-studded affair if he revived his classic film in the form of a television show.
