The Fallout series from Prime Video has been out for nearly two weeks and its popularity amongst fans shows no signs of waning. Its reception has seen a dramatic upturn in players returning to the popular franchise and Fallout 4 especially has been many players go to, following the release of the popular post-apocalyptic series.
With a second season confirmed, many fans are already speculating about what we could expect to see. Given the dramatic ending of the season, we at least know that there will be a new location to look forward to which ties into the franchise and with that climatic ending we get to see the skull of a well-known dangerous wasteland creature.
Epic Monster is confirmed for Fallout Season 2
In an interview co-showrunner Graham Wagner talked about the end of the first season and what that would mean for a second season. Whilst there was the emphasis on putting as much lore into the series as possible, there had to be restraint so that it didn’t appear like someone who knows nothing about the franchise has created it.
Wagner hoped that some fans who felt that they had missed out on specific aspects of the franchise would be patient and look forward to what would be coming in the second season. He specifically made mention of Nuka and Deathclaws, which were omitted and this would be a strong indicator that we would see them feature in the next series.
There has also been praise from the creator of the original Bethesda franchise, Tim Cain. Cain praised the show stating that it just felt like Fallout, and he understood the challenges for producers given the popularity amongst fans and the expectations that come along with it. He along with millions of others, is very happy with what was delivered.
What else could we see in the Season 2 of Fallout?
We’ve already had radroaches, gulpers and a short glimpse at a Super-Mutant and now with the confirmation that Deathclaws will appear in the second season of Fallout, what other abominations can we expect to see?
It wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to think that we may see creatures like bloatflys and Mirelurks, but what about Synths? Given how prominent a part they play in the popular franchise then it wouldn’t be unreasonable to assume that writers would look to feature them at some point. Perhaps even saving them for a third season?
Although we saw a glimpse of a specific Fallout weapon early on in the series, could we see other notable weapons introduced? Many fans would love to see a Fat Man live on screen and given the T-60 armour, it would be amiss not to have a minigun to accompany it. The possibilities are endless for this series and fans will hope that the second season will be as good, if not better, than the first.
