Rockstar Games announced last month that it will release the first trailer for GTA 6, the highly-awaited entry in the popular Grand Theft Auto series in early December. The developer then confirmed that it would be releasing the trailer on December 5 at 9 AM ET.
Fans of the series have been waiting almost a decade to get a glimpse of GTA 6 and what it looks like. There have been several speculations and fans have their theories about what will be included in the game, and there is a possibility that some might end up being true.
GTA 6 Fans Theories and Speculations That Might Come True
Fans have been speculating and wondering what GTA 6 could have for gamers that will potentially make it the biggest game ever from Rockstar Games. There have been a plethora of leaks and rumors about the game over the years and although nothing much is known so far, fans have some compelling theories that might possibly be true.
One of the most popular fan theories about GTA 6 is that the game will be set across timelines and locations. Fans theorize that the game will begin in a fictional Rio De Janeiro location and then will move on to modern-day Vice City. This might be true since fans already believe that Rockstar Games gave away the location of the game when it confirmed the trailer release date via the tweet.
The tweet had a picture with the release date and time for the trailer with a Vice City vibe featuring a purple-themed sunset and palm trees. As for Rio De Janeiro, there have been rumors that GTA 6 will feature locations both in North and South America and it only makes sense since GTA 6 will be the biggest title in the franchise.
\Another place that is rumored to feature in GTA 6 is Port Gellhorn. Rockstar Games added a Love Fist Livery RPG skin in GTA Online based on the rock band featured, Love Fist from GTA: Vice City which many thought was a hint at Vice City setting.
Another fan theory about GTA 6 is that Tommy Vercetti will be returning in GTA 6 and although it might be very unlikely, you can’t dismiss it entirely. Tommy Vercetti is the iconic protagonist of GTA: Vice City and was 35 years old in the game.
If GTA 6 is set in the 2020s, there are chances that he could return to the game because as far as we know Vercetti is still alive. Since Vice City is returning to the game, he could appear in some capacity as well.
Fans also speculate that GTA 6 will allow players to choose how their character’s story progresses and since there are rumors that the game has two protagonists, male and female based on the infamous Bonny and Clyde, this could be possible. Rockstar Games did this in GTA 5 and RDR 2 so nothing is stopping it from doing the same.
One theory that has been insisted upon is that GTA 6 will have all the maps merged to honor the series. It is rumored that Liberty City, Vice City, and Los Santos will be available as a single map and, likely, if it does not happen, it will be great to roam around all the maps in the game.
Distinct missions honoring the maps would be a cherry on top. Fans also speculate that cryptocurrency will be available in the game as an in-game currency, making it one of the safest modes to transfer money.
Several fans also have some features in their wishlist that they expect to see in the game such as removing chrome details from their cars or changing the frame/subframe colors of the bikes and hoping that Rockstar allow them to customize the vehicles. Another thing from the wishlist is that Rockstar launches GTA 6 Online a few weeks after the initial launch so that players can enjoy both the modes, just like with GTA 5.
Fans also hope that GTA 6 allows them to control public transport and finish missions as they did in San Andreas and it would be great to do so without getting wanted level. Many expect some modern-day satire to be included in the game and we all know that Rockstar Games is really good at it.
Some even want the Riot Mode from 3D Grand Theft Auto titles and oh boy wouldn’t that be crazy. GTA 6 with improved parkour in chase scenes such as fluid jumping and vaulting animations with shooting would also be great.
