WWE has successfully created the much-needed hype for WrestleMania 40, thanks to Dwayne Johnson’s return and his new way of running things where he himself turned heel. The response for the biggest WWE upcoming is sky high.
Amid all the interesting scheduled matches and the beautifully designed feuds behind those fights— it kind of reminds us of the attitude era— another speculation has dominated the discussion among fans. While several celebrities are expected to appear at the event, fans speculate about the iconic returns of legendary superstars including The Undertaker and Stone Cold.
Possible Big Returns At WrestleMania 40
WrestleMania is full of surprises and WWE has been very good at delivering these surprises with much of a hint. As The Undertaker has been a regular and almost synonymous with the event, fans are bound to speculate about his appearance. Further, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s WrestleMania 38 appearance getting into the Squared Circle for a surprise match with Kevin Owens has met with a stupendous response. Reportedly, WWE has reached out to Austin and Hulk Hogan (who is also a WrestleMania regular) to appear in the event.
A series of videos posted by WWE on their Instagram page has elevated the excitement among fans as these videos feature The Undertaker and The Texas Rattlesnake. Also, John Cena might grace with his appearance in Showcase of the Immortals. Cena is still a part-timer in WWE and his return is very very plausible for one night. However, it all comes down to his schedule as the wrestler-turned-actor has been busy forging his career. Further, a Wrestling Observer speculation has made things even more interesting.
“Nothing is official, but the belief right now is that Steve Austin, Undertaker, and John Cena will have something at WrestleMania in some form,” the Wrestling Observer report stated (via, Wrestlingnews.co)
When it comes to celebrity appearances, Bleacher Report reported that Bad Bunny, Lil Uzi Vert, George Kittle, KSI, and Jason Kelce are expected to show up at the event.
Fans Are Convinced For The Undertaker, John Cena and Stone Cold’s Return
There has not been any confirmed news of their return as of this publication but it is fairly normal as they are labeled as surprise appearances. But one thing is clear, some icons will definitely return for the mega event.

If WWE decides to end Roman Reigns‘ title reign crowing Cody Rhodes with the Universal Championship, The American Nightmare would certainly need help from a legend and Cena’s help seems most likely in this scenario. Also, The Undertaker might just be perfect in the situation as The Rock has made it clear that he would make it hellish for Rhodes, in fact, already did. But where does The Texas Rattlesnake fit in the story? Anywhere, he might help The American Nightmare and then bless him with a Stunner, in a classic Stone Cold style.
