At the moment, we do not know to what extent Microsoft will be bringing Xbox‘s first-party games to other platforms, as there have only been a few leaks regarding certain game franchises coming to other consoles in the coming months.

If these leaks are accurate, then there are plenty of Xbox’s main attractions coming to other consoles, which sadly devalues Microsoft’s console.

This has led many gamers to worry about the future of the console, as they hope that this decision will either be changed in some manner to avoid this risk or that it will be cancelled to avoid a major upset in the gaming community.

Most gamers are more worried that, if Microsoft goes through with this apparent deal with PS, it could badly affect the gaming industry as a whole, as Sony would then have a monopoly on the gaming industry, causing Xbox to lose its fan base.

If This Deal Goes Through, Gamers Will Have to Decide Whether They Will Continue to Support Microsoft or Switch to Another Platform

The main worry that many gamers have is the fact that if this deal goes through, there could be the potential loss of an entire console sometime in the near future as Microsoft could eventually leave the console scene and focus on developing games, especially after the recent Activision Blizzard acquisition.

If Microsoft does take this course of action and begins focusing on developing games rather than consoles and technology, players will eventually have to make the choice to move away from the Xbox console and choose between purchasing a PS or a PC if they are looking to stay involved with the AAA games that will be released on these platforms.

So far, these worries are just that; they are only worries inside gamers’ heads.

But until we have more information from Phil Spencer and Microsoft, we can only assume that this won’t happen and that Microsoft will continue to support its players and the Xbox console for many years to come.
