The fourth film also had newcomers joining the franchise, including Awkwafina, Ke Huy Quan, and Viola Davis. Despite people loving these new additions, the choice to cast MrBeast in the film has been criticized, and fans cannot understand this undeserved criticism that he is facing.
Fans Feel MrBeast is Facing Unnecessary Criticism for Kung Fu Panda 4
Jack Black is back as Po in 2024’s Kung Fu Panda 4. The film chronicles Po teaming up with Awkwafina’s Zhen to defeat the Chameleon played by Viola Davis. In addition to Awkwafina and Davis, the film saw many other newcomers like Ke Huy Quan, Ronny Chieng, Lori Tan Chinn, and surprisingly, MrBeast.

People seem to be criticizing MrBeast just by his inclusion in the film and not by his performance. As many fans have pointed out, people seem to be projecting out their personal issues with MrBeast and hating on him. People should first watch the film and judge him based on his performance and voice work.
Kung Fu Panda 4 Producer Did Not Want The Film To Rely on Nostalgia
The fourth Kung Fu Panda film is released in theaters after eight years of the third film. Therefore, the filmmakers had a big responsibility to live up to the legacy of the franchise. The producer of the film, Rebecca Huntley, recently talked to OffScreen about coming up with a worthy story for the fourth installment.
Huntley revealed that she did not want the film to rely on its past success and wanted it to have fun new elements. The fourth film needed to have the DNA of the franchise while also adding new layers to Po and his evolving arc throughout the films. She said,
“It was important to us, was because it will be eight years since the last movie came out, and why it can take a while to make a part four is we had to make sure we nail the story. We needed to live up to the expectation, I mean, the prior three have done incredibly well billions of dollars.
To make a part four, you want to honor what’s come before you while still bringing something new to the table, because you don’t want to just rest on the laurels of the prior three. You want people to be happy that they’re seeing something familiar, but you have to give them something new and fun and exciting, too. So we had to take our time.”
Mike Mitchell directed Kung Fu Panda 4, and the Jack Black-led film received generally positive reviews from critics and fans. The film is expected to do well at the box office. Fans can experience Kung Fu Panda 4 currently in theatres.
