The battle between comic fans and movie fans seems never-ending. However, there is one aspect both have managed to reach a mutual point, the fate of a brutal Marvel superhero. In Marvel comics, the strongest character is depicted as The Hulk, but his mishandling in the MCU has now derived comparisons with God of War’s Kratos.
Several fans are of the viewpoint that Hulk has been degraded into a weaker superhero and might not survive a fight with God of War’s strongest, Kratos. A recent picture surfaced on social media, pitting Hulk and Kratos against each other. However, the caption echoed the similar opinion of Kratos battering Hulk. Hence, Hulk fans assembled in the comments to condemn the MCU for their irresponsible depicton of Hulk.
MCU ruined The Hulk in the movies
While the comics have successfully maintained the Green Goliath’s dominance, with fans assured that he may never be defeated, by Kratos at least, the movie sphere can’t say the same. In terms of superhuman strength, both the characters are the strongest when angry. Hulk’s strength increases with his anger, allowing him to level entire cities to dust. Therefore, the fight could be challenging but not possible for Kratos to defeat him.
In the movies, Hulk has been portrayed since the late 70s, by Bill Bixby, Lou Ferrigno, Edward Norton, and the recent Mark Ruffalo. However, over the years there have been several variables in Hulk’s personality, but the creators were mindful enough to maintain the true essence of the superhero. However, the MCU went downhill with Hulk after 2017’s Ragnarok, as he was presented as Thor’s dumb sidekick, unlike the commanding leader in the comics.
Moreover, the MCU seemed to have gone a little overboard with the jokes. In Avengers: Infinity War, the MCU compromised Hulk’s powers to introduce Thanos’ wrath. The latter beat Hulk within seconds, which didn’t seem true to his character. Marvel’s recent approach has turned Hulk into a more humorous character than mighty. Bruce Banner has learned to control his emotions which further messes with Hulk’s strength powers as it is directly proportional to his anger. All of these aspects have urged God of War fans to theorize that Kratos can easily defeat Marvel’s Hulk.

Fans heartbroken over Hulk’s fate in MCU
On Tuesday, a post highlighting Kratos’ dominance over Hulk rolled in on fans, leaving Hulk admirers enraged and disheartened by MCU’s antics. The post was shared by a user @NUJERZEYTWORK with a picture of Kratos and Hulk looking eye-to-eye. Hulk, although physically mightier than Kratos, seemed intimidated. The caption of the post read,

The debate on who might emerge as the rightful winner in a fight between Hulk and Kratos can be intense. Hulk’s superior physical attributes weigh in on the comparison, however, Kratos’ fighting finesse and war experiences can prove to be fruitful.
Marvel cannot make solo movies on Hulk because Universal Studios is the sole IP owner. Because fan demands are a thing, they could write up a spin-off series or a movie based on the debate.
