However, the one trait of his that made him the internet’s ideal boyfriend was his policy of not touching women without their consent.
Keanu Reeves Doesn’t Touch Women Without Their Consent
Keanu Reeves is known for respecting everyone’s boundaries. He’s consistently grateful and kind in a way few famous people are. During a recent AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit, a commentator asked him what drove him to be so compassionate. To this, he replied that it was because he thought we all could use some help in our lives. Here’s his comment:

His actions throughout the years have reflected his magnanimous heart and personality with various people, but especially with women. Back in 2019, a viral tweet compiled various photos Keanu Reeves had taken with women and highlighted one major thing in all of them. The famous actor wasn’t touching any of his female fans even though it looked like he was.

Whether it was an ordinary fan or a famous personality like Dolly Parton, The Matrix actor was respectful of everyone’s boundaries. While the ordinary tweet cheekily mocks his gesture with “Lol Keanu ain’t taking no chances,” as the poster assumes he was doing it to be safe when the #MeToo fires were raging, other commentators assumed otherwise and showered praise on the actor.

Fans gathered underneath the original tweet to support the actor and urge others to be as respectful as him. Some said that he was the only hero left while others joked that the actor was just hugging the auras of the fans. Many also felt that the women shouldn’t have hugged him either and returned the courtesy that he was showing.

Just a thought… perhaps Keanu recognized that not one of these women gave him their consent to touch him and I don’t know, he respected their bodily autonomy. Keanu showing everyone how to be respectful might be a potential takeaway as well. This is just a thought though.

Instead, he quietly helps and then the ordinary people he assisted come forward to gush about his amazing nature online. Once a fan on Reddit recalled that he tried to help a woman whose car didn’t start. However, when he ultimately couldn’t get the vehicle to work, he called AAA to tow her car. But that’s not all. He also drove the lady home, which was 50 miles away. This just shows what a class act Keanu Reeves is.
