The Fantastic Four teaser image had a lot going for it, but the surprise that fans have been focusing on the most is the inclusion of H.E.R.B.I.E, the robot assistance that first made an appearance in the 1978 animated series. He was a replacement for The Human Torch, who was not licensed for the television series, (but instead would receive a solo film, which never materialized).

However, H.E.R.B.I.E’s appearance in the poster implies there is at least going to be some alien involvement in the Fantastic Four film and it will most probably include Galactus. If this version of the Fantastic Four sticks true to the comics, H.E.R.B.I.E will have some Xandarian make in his circuits, which means it is another opportunity to introduce Nova.

Nova might fight a mutant, with the aid of Galactus

H.E.R.B.I.E was originally constructed by Reed Richards, in tandem with the Xandarian scientist Master Xar. H.E.R.B.I.E was originally constructed by Richards to track down Galactus, the devourer of worlds.

Within the Marvel Universe, Galactus is not looked upon as a necessarily evil being, but a force of nature that is a necessary evil. Like a tsunami, the character is often treated like a natural calamity more than a straight-up antagonist. Therefore, Richards wished to find Galactus fight another creature: The Sphinx.

The Sphinx is an ancient mutant, having all the abilities of a supersoldier, along with being magically enhanced to be immortal. To defeat this character. H.E.R.B.I.E was constructed, but also in the process of making this robot, a Xandarian scientist trapped in the computer, named Doctor Sun, was programmed into H.E.R.B.I.E by accident.

In the MCU, this could be a means of creating the Nova, by instead embuing H.E.R.B.I.E with the Xandarian Worldmind, which could then aid the Nova Empire in the creation of a force that could take on the might of Galactus.

Rumour has it that Henry Cavill has signed a deal with Marvel studios, which comes at the heels of the Fantastic Four announcements, with more rumors saying that the studio is currently looking for its Silver Surfer, Galactus, and Doctor Doom. There seems to be a push to flesh out the cosmic side of the MCU, which makes characters like the Guardians of the Galaxy, Nova, and Beta Ray Bill important for the upcoming phases of the MCU.

Henry Cavill would make a great Richard Rider Nova. The actor has the perfect physique for the role and has played a sort of law enforcement meets lone wolf type of role with Geralt of Rivia. he is also passionate about his work in science fiction and fantasy IPs, making him the perfect fit for Richard Rider, who could be introduced in the Fantastic Four.
