While escaping law enforcement, Mark Wahlberg assaulted a middle-aged Vietnamese man and was charged with attempted murder. Sentenced to two years in jail as a teenager, the actor faced extreme setbacks.

Rescuing him from further drug abuse and violence, the parish priest took him under his wing.
