“When you go to the beach and someone yells ‘Shark Shark’ and they just realize that it’s Steve Carrell doing a backstroke.” said Galifianakis while Carrell replied, “When you go to the beach and you swim out past the booes, do people think that there’s an island there?”

The Hangover star aggressively replied, “I’m not that fat, man!”. “You are!” replied Carrell. Zach Galifianakis further continued,

“If you were to do my percentage of body fat vs your percentage of how much your nose weighs, I guarantee that your nose per capita weighs more than what I…” while Steve Carrell cut him off and simply said “Alright, f*ck you fatso!”

Galifianakis stood up and pointed a finger at Steve Carrell by stating, “Point is, I’m not that fat, okay?” as he sat down on the chair, the chair broke and Zach Galifianakis fell on her back on the ground!

The face-off was indeed good with people commenting about how the chair was a paid actor and how Steve Carrell channeled his inner Michael Scott. Speaking of The Office, Steve Carrell once said that although people liked Ricky Gervais’ The Office, Carrell couldn’t watch 5 minutes of it to prepare for his role!

Steve Carrell’s The Office was actually an American adaptation of the British series The Office starring Ricky Gervais as the main boss. For his role as Michael Scott, Carrell had to watch Gervais’ version so that he could understand the character better. In an interview with The Talkshowever, Carrell revealed that he couldn’t watch for more than 5 minutes!

“You know, before I auditioned for The Office, I watched about five minutes of the British version just to get a sense of tone but when I saw what Ricky was doing and how specific and great his character was… People love him, people think he’s hilarious,”

He further continued,

“I knew that if I watched any more I would just be prone to doing an impersonation, I would just try to steal more and I thought that wouldn’t serve me in an audition.”

Well, both series found fame on different levels but the US version of The Office is more renowned all over the world. All 9 seasons of the iconic sitcom are available to stream on Peacock Premium in the U.S.
