First ‘Aquaman’ Trailer Revealed At Comic-Con

Well its official, the trailer to Aquaman has finally arrived, showing us a piece of the next installment in the DC Extended Universe. Although little is known about Aquaman, we do know it will center around the story Arthur Curry taking over the thrown of Atlantis. Black Manta and Curry’s Step Brother Orm have been revealed to be the main villains, bringing a war to Atlantis.

The director, James Wan is most known for horror franchises such as Saw, The Conjuring and Insidious. It’s going to be interesting to see if there will be any horror elements in this underwater superhero adventure, being that his only other notable directing job not involving horror was Furious 7 (The 7th installment in the Fast and Furious franchise.)

James Wan also developed the story along side legendary comic writer Geoff Johns, who knows a thing or two about DC franchises. Will Beall, the screenwriter also wrote the screen play for Marvel’s Venom, coming out in November.

Aquaman‘s cast will include Momoa as Aquaman, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, and Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus.

Put your snorkel and flipper on because come December 21st, 2018, Aquaman will come swimming into theaters.
