Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is the latest semi-open world Soulslite that tasks gamers with eliminating tons of gods in an eclectic fantasy setting. The project comes from A44 Games, a New Zealand studio that previously gave us the phenomenal hit ARPG Ashe.
Despite the game suffering from various issues, critics and fans alike love it for its fast-paced gameplay and exploration aspects. However, the game could reach the success of genre titans if A44 Games listen to this one-player petition!
44 Games Must Listen to This One Flintlock Petition
There’s no doubt that an integral path of both Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn‘s story and gameplay is the loyal companion character Enki. Resembling a feathered fox-like monster, Enki is much more than meets the eye and holds the key to some of the greatest secrets to the land of Kian.
In the game, Enki brings valuable knowledge and skills that give players an advantage over their enemies, as well as provide exciting world-building.
Since the game’s release, this Fox-like creature has been on every player’s mind. Now, over on Reddit, one player launched a Flintlock petition requesting A44 Games to allow him to create merchandise for the trickster!

With how crucial Enki is to the game’s story, it’s no surprise that players are going out of their way to bring such cool-looking merchandise for the godly companion! As the game gains more traction, we’re likely to see more of such merchandise to pay tribute to the iconic characters of the game.
Given the game’s current situation, fan-made merchandise could be the key for A44 Games to pull Flintlock out of hot waters. These things can allow the developers to foster a loyal community and expand the game’s audience to new levels.
It’s a game that is in desperate need of establishing a connection with its player base, and fan-made merchandise is definitely a solid way to develop that aspect.
Flintlock Must Fix Various Game Breaking Issues
While it’s great to see some fans loving the Flintlock and actively trying to do various things, the game is in a horrendous state for the majority of the players. The Flintlock Xbox Game Pass version is such a buggy mess that players are outright deleting the game and review-bombing it.
Even the Steam version isn’t doing that great. Players are constantly reporting new bugs, stuttering issues, and screen tearing. While many thought A44 Games wouldn’t fall into the trap of modern gaming trends, it seems like they’ve proved everyone wrong by releasing yet another buggy game that is built on the promise of being fixed in the future.
It’s going to be quite a while before we see Flintlock get its feet off the ground. How quickly that might happen? Well, no one knows. However, one thing is for sure: A44 Games and Microsoft wouldn’t allow such a promising IP to fall into the abyss.
With that said, would you like to see any particular merchandise for Flintlock? Let us know in the comments.
