Just when everyone thought Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 couldn’t get any more intense, Focus dropped a new teaser that gives us a sneak peek at some unexpected and terrifying new enemies.
Brace yourselves, because some tough enemies have just entered the fight.
Space Marine 2 Developers Introduce New Adversaries
In a recent tweet made on the official Focus Entertainment X/Twitter account, the developers of the upcoming release have given players a prime look at the new Space Marine 2 enemies that they’ll encounter soon.

The most interesting enemies pop out at the end—aside from the Tyranids, players will have to go against the dreaded Rubric Marine and the Chaos Cultists.

But who exactly are these new threats? Whether this is your first Space Marine game or you’re a newcomer to the entire franchise, it doesn’t hurt to learn about the enemies you’re about to mow down.
Get To Know About Who You’re Going Up Against
Starting with the Rubric Marines, who are once-proud Space Marines, now reduced to spectral remnants trapped within their ancient power armor. In summary, the stuff of nightmares.
Known in High Gothic as Rubricae, these foes are cursed to roam the galaxy as mindless automatons.
Their armor is more like sealed tombs, holding nothing but a handful of dust from what used to be mighty warriors. Despite their tragic backstory, don’t be fooled into feeling any sympathy—they’re remorseless and deadly.
Then there are the Chaos Cultists. They’re part of the ultimate internal threat to the Imperium of Man. These sinister individuals bide their time to overthrow the rule of the Imperium.
Canonically, they can pop up anywhere, on any planet, hidden within any civilization. When they finally rise, it’s chaos. Screaming gangs of cultists rush into battle, armed with primitive weapons like solid-shot guns and industrial flamers.
