Harrison Ford Called Adam Sandler To His House For A Bizzare Thing
A lot of celebrities have bizarre demands. The one that Harrison Ford asked of Adam Sandler also made many raise their eyebrows. During an interview with Conan O’Brien in 2017, Sandler talked about working with Carrie Fisher and getting invited to her party which was attended by various big Hollywood celebs.
One such star was Ford and it was there that he met the Star Wars actor for the first time. But the conversation went in a direction he never would have expected. The Uncut Gems star said:
“We got close with Carrie and when she was doing the rewrites on our movie, she has this famous party in town … where everybody would come, all these giant celebrities and she invited us… We show up to the party… It’s just the biggest stars we grew up with in the world. Pacino’s there, just all these women that we’ve loved over the years, and then Harrison Ford. He’s a great man.”
Sandler revealed that he was around 25 years old at the time and hadn’t made it in Hollywood enough to be attending big splashy parties. But that didn’t stop Ford from approaching him and requesting something weird. The Murder Mystery star said:
“And then Harrison Ford looks at me … gives me like, ‘Is that you?’ kind of thing… And then he comes over and he’s like, ‘You’re the guy from the Billy Madison…’ He goes, ‘I would love for you to come over to my house’ and I was like, ‘Yeah… And then he goes, ‘And I would love for you to wash my car.”
But why did the star of Air Force One tell Sandler to wash his car? Did he want to humiliate the lesser-known actor? Not at all. Sandler explained that the reason behind the request was Ford’s kids. The 50 First Dates star said, “He (Harrison Ford) goes, ‘My kids think you’re funny and it would just be such a kick for them to see that.’ And I was like, ‘OK.'” But was Sandler disgusted or disappointed by Ford’s car wash invitation?
Adam Sandler Shares His Equation With Harrison Ford
When Harrison Ford told Adam Sandler to come to his house and wash his car, the latter actor didn’t mind. He even defended the actor by saying, that “Ford can do anything he wants, he’s a stud.” But fans had a question- did Sandler really wash the veteran actor’s car? He answered that on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
The actor said that he didn’t wash Harrison Ford’s car and that didn’t cause any rift between the two. In fact, as per Sandler, the two are friends. He said, “I know him well now. Two times in a row, when there were fires in our neighborhood, we had to check into a hotel and Harrison was at the same hotel.”
So he got to chat with Ford then. He said, “I consider myself tight with Harrison now.” But the two haven’t starred in any major films till now. Will that change in the future? Fans certainly hope so.
