With this new era being launched with Superman it is only a matter of time before we get a Justice League film. The director himself teased this via his Instagram story. And if that’s the case, there’s a supervillain who wouldn’t probably be the first choice for a main antagonist and is highly underrated. But is definitely one of the deadliest across DC comics.

Perfect Villain For James Gunn’s Justice League

While there is no official announcement on the matter, there’s a good chance a Justice League film is around the corner, if not down the street. And the anticipation for James Gunn’s DCU is only growing with time.

Darkseid is probably the most dangerous supervillain for the superhero team. The Omega beams are really hard to beat. However, there’s a villain who could be lethal. And that’s Plastic Man. Often overlooked due to his goofiness and funny personality, he has a track record of being harmful to almost all the beloved superheroes.

His attack methods are nothing short of grotesque. He rips out bones and ruptures the internal organs of his enemies by invading their bodies or just suffocating them with his extendable flesh. He almost killed the Flash by blocking his airway and slaughtered the entire Justice League in Deceased.

Moreover, Gunn, as a filmmaker is skilled in taking lesser-known or feared characters and portraying them in a way that moves the viewers. Taking a character like Plastic Man and doing just that is right up Gunn’s alley.

It would make for a momentous roller coaster ride if Plastic Man becomes the primary antagonist in James Gunn’s Justice League.

James Gunn teased the possibility of Justice League International being the superhero team for DCU this last month via Instagram. The filmmaker might be working on making the Justice League International main superhero team of DCU. This could be a great idea as it is highly underused when it comes to live-action. Moreover, it could bring a refreshing turn to the new era.

This might not seem like the best choice but Justice League International will bring more heroes to the spotlight who haven’t had the chance to be adapted in live-action. An apt concept for the reboot.

Furthermore, several members of the Justice League International have been confirmed in the DCU. There are no official announcements but the signs are there. Sometimes, that’s enough, and even more than that.
