2024 is finally here, the year wherein Wolverine will finally wake up from his seven-year-long retirement and wield his claws alongside Deadpool in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds’ much-awaited Deadpool 3 is scheduled to hit the theaters this summer.

There’s little information about the plot of Jackman’s movie. However, that has not stopped fans from talking about Deadpool 3. In particular, Wolverine’s classic yellow suit has excited fans of Marvel Comics. This will be the first time we will see Wolverine in the yellow costume since X-Men: The Animated Series of the 1990s.

However, Marvel Studios has another movie lined up in their pipeline, which supposedly has the potential to take the limelight away from Jackman’s Wolverine with another incredible superhero suit.

Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine Will Not Have the Best Superhero Suit in MCU for Long

Hugh Jackman‘s Deadpool 3 is the only MCU movie slated to release in 2024. However, Marvel Studios have plenty of high-profile projects lined up for 2025, including Thunderbolts and Captain America: Brave New World.

Thunderbolts, in particular, will bring a group of anti-superheroes to deal with new problems in the absence of Avengers. Among the headliners are Harrison Ford (Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross), Wyatt Russell (John Walker), and Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova).

Steven Yeun is also joining the project as Robert Reynolds/Sentry. He’s one of the most powerful heroes in the world but at the same time stifled by his darker half, who proves to be an unstoppable destructive force at every turn.

How his contrasting powers would impact the storyline remains unknown, but industry insider Daniel Richtman has supposedly seen his suit, which might prove to be a huge talking point moving forward. As per Richtman, Yeun’s Sentry suit “might be the best superhero suit” he has ever seen in the MCU.

If Sentry’s suit is comic book-accurate, then expect to see a lot of yellow on our screens. Interestingly, in Marvel Comics, Reynolds sews together his own costume after trouncing the school bully who had tormented him.

Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine Appearance Would Be Comic-Book Accurate in Deadpool 3

Thunderbolt members in the movie are expected to be far more heroic than their comic book counterparts, as the Jake Schreier-directed film will try to depict them as anti-heroes rather than villains. Accordingly, it won’t surprise many if Schreier decides to also bring his own ideas concerning his characters’ appearances rather than replicating comic book looks.

However, that won’t be the case with Deadpool 3. Jackman and Reynolds have frequently indicated that the upcoming movie will try to stay true to Marvel Comics and at the same time respect the legacy of Fox’s X-Men series and the first two Deadpool movies.

Apart from his classic costume, Jackman will also don the classic Wolverine mutton chops beard style. He confirmed the same by sharing his “chops” look on X last month.
