And considering the talent that Laughlin holds, the Stranger Things star could very well become the first ever Dick Grayson who is a person of color. Being a mix between serious and funny, the duo of Robert Pattinson and Caleb McLaughlin would indeed be a good fit for the movie as Pattinson’s brooding character helps Laughlin through the streets and people of Gotham City.
Matt Reeves Was Impressed By Paul Dano And Robert Pattinson!
While shooting The Batman, director Matt Reeves talked about an iconic scene between Robert Pattinson’s Batman and Paul Dano’s The Riddler. In an interview with The Guardian, Matt Reeves referred to Dano as “insane” as the actor loves perfectionism.
“Paul loves doing a lot of takes, as do I. We took two days on the final scene between him and Robert Pattinson as Batman, and we must have easily done 70 or 80 takes. Paul loves exploring. He’s obsessive that way,”
Sure enough, The Batman received a rating of 7.8/10 on IMDB and a whopping 84% on Rotten Tomatoes. With a sequel in the works, we sure hope that Matt Reeves finds a worthy actor for the role of Dick Grayson. The Batman Part II is currently set for a release date of 3 October 2025 while the first part is currently available to stream on Max in the U.S.
