Fans have been purchasing numerous merchandise of their favorite WWE superstars over the years. While John Cena was the most popular and consistent in merchandise sales, CM Punk‘s resurgence last year made him the top merchandise seller for some months.

Now, another returning superstar has taken over Punk’s place. R-Truth who made a return to the ring after a one-year hiatus, shot up to the top of the charts and became the top merchandise seller of January 2024. As put by Wrestle Features, fans have been purchasing his new T-shirts, celebrating his return after his injury in 2022. He began a storyline with Judgment Day and he beat JD McDonagh last month.

R-Truth suffered a serious injury in November 2022 at NXT during his match against Grayson Waller. He recently talked to the Cheap Heat Podcast about how he had a hole in his knee and the following infection led to him “going mentally crazy because there was a chance (that he was gonna go through) amputation.” Although he is doing better and back in the ring, he might be looking at retirement soon.

Talking to Sporf, R-Truth claimed that Austin told him to focus on his performance and entertaining the audience every time he stepped into the ring. Perfecting it would have him sustaining for a long time in the business. He said,

“Stone Cold Steve Austin, a long time ago, and Ricky Morton too, told me ‘learn how to work the stick’. And I been working the stick ever since. That’ll keep you in business for years. Austin taught me that.”
