Transcending the realm of games and becoming a pop cultural phenomenon in the process, Fortnite thrives on its collaborative nature with numerous franchises. Not only is it a genius way of trying to get their respective fanbases on board, but it also keeps things fresh for Epic’s community. It hasn’t been long since the previous season for the game’s Chapter 5 was unleashed, but as it nears its end in a few days, fans got a glimpse of what to expect from Season 3 in a short teaser.

And aside from Fallout, Epic is again collaborating with a massive franchise, and it looks like it could feature an extremely iconic storyline.

The Epic player base has been treated to plenty of collaborations in the past, and Marvel characters and storylines have found themselves integrated in the game in various forms even before the upcoming season.

Interestingly, as Epic dropped the teaser for the next installment in its battle royale saga, fans realized that aside from ZeniMax, the parent company behind Bethesda, there’s another name that’s credited in the copyright list.

Although it remains to be seen what the season will include, some fans think that there is an iconic Marvel storyline that fits the post-apocalyptic wasteland aesthetic that the game is going for.

Considering how Hugh Jackman is set to reprise his role as Logan in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine and that the film is actually going to be adapting some parts of the Old Man Logan storyline, it would make sense for Epic Games to include it in its game as well.

The aesthetics of the saga perfectly align with the next theme in Fortnite, as was also quite apparent in the previous movie in the series, 2017’s Logan.

From X-Men ’97 to Deadpool & Wolverine, There Is Plenty That Epic Games Can Include

There are some similarities between the aesthetics of Logan and the upcoming Epic Games season.

With the multimedia franchise joining in on the mayhem next season, there’s a lot that Epic could do with its game, especially by cashing in on the impressive run Marvel has recently been having with its latest series and the highly anticipated crossover film releasing in a couple of months.

There’s been no shortage of Marvel content in Epic’s battle royale, including skins like Ant-Man and Black Panther, threats like Galactus, special weapons, and themed items. But with the tease of another collaboration between the two industrial giants, the possibilities are endless.

Similar to how it has always been with previous Epic Games’ announcements, Season 3 also had its details leaked earlier this month, revealing that characters from the acclaimed X-Men ’97 and Loki shows will be added to the battle royale soon.

The fanbase would have to wait for Epic Games to reveal the full-length trailer, but with crossovers like Monster Jam and more planned, Wrecked could prove to be a game-changing season for the battle royale.

Which collaboration are you looking forward to the most in the upcoming season? Let us know in the comments!
