Fortnite is one of the biggest and best live service games available in the market and Epic Games is doing everything to appeal to the gaming community. The developers recently released a new promo featuring a handful of streamers and influencers that seem ripped out of a Disney movie.
The newest promo featured a new game mode and the inspiration from Free Guy, the Disney film is about a non-playable character discovering the truth and the promo perfectly captured a similar tone and energy. No one knows if this is what they had in mind but it was elegant.
Fortnite Has Taken Notes From a Notable Disney Movie
New game modes have always been the strong suit of Epic Games and the gaming community is getting a kick with Reload, a new mode that features classic and iconic locations and items. The current season of Fortnite, however, has split the fans down the middle and some players are enjoying the new additions like the weaponized vehicles, there is the other half who dreams of the day of them being removed.
The promo for the newest game mode featured some notable internet personalities like Kai Cenat who previously claimed that Elden Ring is his favorite game despite dying multiple times during his marathon stream. Cenat and a handful of celebrities appeared in the trailer and highlighted the importance of having people players can rely on in-game.
The lighting of the trailer heavily resembles the cinematography of Free Guy down to the way how Cenat is walking down the street. Perhaps the developers thought that their reputations would be the best marketing strategy to promote this new game mode and it would appeal to their fan bases.
The new game mode is packed with action and pure carnage and it is essential to work together as a unit. Cenat and his fellow influencers assembled for this promo and players can get the point of this teaser where working alone can feel dull while playing with friends is the fun way to go.
Epic Games Needed the Help of Streamers to Promote Fortnite Reload
Perhaps Epic Games grew to appreciate the streamer’s efforts to promote the games he has featured on his YouTube channel in the past. Cenat once redecorated his entire recording setup to match the tone and atmosphere of the latest Soulslike game and it showed more of his character.
The game has already gained enough recognition but it is nice to see the developers take it up a notch by getting popular influencers involved. There is a strong likelihood that each of these influencer’s respective communities will dive in the game mode.
Epic Games is firing on all cylinders for this game mode and fans already know what they should expect and the marketing is the cherry on top. Cenat’s brief appearance only scratched the surface for Reload.
The gaming community has favorites and the developers wouldn’t select these influencers randomly. Players will most likely try out the new game mode regardless of how it was promoted.
