As part of the seasonal updates, vehicle mods were added to spice things up, and the game has been a playground for players to fight with their engines and speak with bullets. Sadly, this will be going away soon.

Within the next few days, Fortnite is going to go through a big update that will introduce Absolute Doom, a season dedicated to the return of Marvel characters in the game with a big focus on heroes, villains, and everyone in between.

However, this also means that players will soon bid farewell to some of the most controversial items and weapons added to the game as part of Wrecked. These include modifications like the Cow Catcher, Bulletproof Tires, Grenade Launcher Turret, and more.

At the beginning of the season, we speculated how these changes were going to affect the game. As it stands, players can’t wait to move away from this gameplay loop and welcome something new. Even though many are having a tough time saying goodbye.

Thanks for all the fun, Car Mods. Even though being not liked by many and being nerfed as hell, you bring the fresh air in the game for me.

User, dogesami, on Reddit writes about their experience, which seems to be a mixed bag of great memories from the current season, and how it added novelty to the game. Meanwhile, the comments speak of certain overpowered items, such as the Magneto Power.

While many of these mods have been enjoyable, some special items, like the Magneto Power and Nitro Fists have been powerful enough to shift the tides of battle in a matter of seconds. Not everyone has been a fan of this, and hopefully Epic will keep a more balanced approach to weapons going forward.

Fortunately or Unfortunately, the Superpowers Are Staying

While we’re not sure if Magneto Power will be vaulted or nerfed, the upcoming season is going to focus on supernatural abilities anyway. After all, it’s a Marvel-centric season that players are venturing into.

From Captain America’s Shield to Doctor Doom’s powers, it looks like the season will dabble in several experimental playstyles. Whether you’re a Marvel fan or not, some of these iconic abilities are surely going to make an “absolute” impact on the game’s meta.

Keeping our fingers crossed, this time around, Epic Games will likely keep these abilities and weapons a bit balanced so that the community has an enjoyable season rather than something that strikes further controversy.
