The Cast of FRIENDS Are Planning a Special Reunion for the Holidays

The cast of FRIENDS all recently got together and supported each other during the hardest time of their lives. Now, it seems the bond between the surviving members of the cast has become much stronger than before.
Perry’s death brought them together once again after 2021’s reunion show, but this time, it was for a profoundly sad and emotional real-life tragedy. According to InTouch, Perry’s FRIENDS cast members are planning another reunion very soon. A source told the outlet,
“It was always their plan to get together just the five of them, so they could feel comfortable about saying whatever’s on their minds. They’ll reminisce about some of their favorite times with Matt and share stories and laugh and cry.”
The source further went on to point out that while the funeral was more about Perry’s family, the cast reunion will be an opportunity for a private moment for the surviving members to properly reflect on the loss together. It will indeed be an emotional yet bittersweet moment as they reflect on the impact that Perry has had on their lives.
Matthew Perry’s Passing Deeply Affected Zac Efron
Zac Efron played the younger version of Matthew Perry’s character in 2009’s 17 Again. Efron and Perry formed a very close bond during the filming of the movie, and Perry’s recent passing significantly impacted Efron as he talked about it in a recent interview.
Efron opened up in an interview with Variety about how he had been thinking about Perry since his passing and reminiscing the good times he had while working with him back in the day. He said,
“I hold the time we shared really dear. I’ve been thinking about him a lot, every day. He was in a unique position for me in my career, and in my life. His passing is affecting me a lot.”
Perry was in the process of making a film based on his life and wanted Efron to play him in the film. While Efron has expressed his openness to do so. it remains to be seen whether this project ever comes to fruition.
