More recently, he partook in The Boy and the Heron, where he took on the role of Shoichi Maki, one of the primary characters of the film.
It truly goes to show that literally, no one can escape from the magic of Studio Ghibli!

The character of Kiriko, one of the old maids working in Natsuko’s estate, is further explored as Mahito, the protagonist, encounters a younger version of her later on his adventure.
This film had an impressive lineup to say the least, featuring talents such as Christian Bale, Willem Dafoe, Florence Pugh, and Robert Pattinson. The buzz surrounding it was immense, especially considering it marked Hayao Miyazaki’s return to the director’s chair after a decade-long hiatus.
3. Liam Neeson
Liam Neeson took on the role of Fujimoto, an overprotective father to Ponyo, in the 2008 Hayao Miyazaki film bearing the same name. Within the film’s narrative, Neeson’s portrayal is truly one of the best.
