Deadpool & Wolverine introduced several different versions of Logan in the span of a few short minutes. Fans witnessed some of the most iconic versions from the comics come to life and also showed one of the most highly anticipated cameos in the film. The film even introduced its own, new versions of the character that were perfect in the most Deadpool way possible.
However, since the scene was so short, many may have missed the key details that made these characters so significant and beloved. On that note, here is every variant of Logan that appeared in the film.

1. Short King Wolverine
Ironically, the first version of Logan that we are introduced to after years of anticipation was a dig at the comic version of the character. In the source material, the character is said to be shorter than 5 ft 3, whereas Hugh Jackman stands at 6 ft 2.
With this, the variant was certainly entertaining to look at when fans are so used to Jackman’s presence.
2. Weapon X
At one point in the montage sequence, Deadpool encounters a version of Logan who was leaning against a wall while everything around him is set on fire. While Wade Wilson made a joke that a dragon set everything on fire, the camera showcased the metal left arm that this version was adorning, hinting it to be Logan from Earth-295. Here, he is not known as Wolverine, but Weapon X.
3. Patch
Patch was a variant that fans expected to make an appearance in the film. He had been teased in the trailer, with his white suit being indistinguishable from the rest of Wolverine’s versions. Known for his eyepatch, this version operates as a vigilante in Madripoor and goes under an alias so that he is not recognized as a member of the X-Men.
4. Old Man Logan
Earth-807128’s Old Man Logan is one of the most iconic storylines of the character. So much so, that many fans expected the 2017 Logan film to follow the same storyline. While it took a somewhat different route, the reference in the film made it quite iconic.
5. Crucified Wolverine
The crucified version of Logan was, perhaps, one of the most horrid pieces of imagery from the entire film. A reference to the cover for Uncanny X-Men #251, it contained a very dark storyline of Wolverine being pinned to a cross of humans who hated mutants.
Although Deadpool finds an excuse to get out of there quickly, the bloodstained skulls, the rain, and the pain in Logan’s eyes make it difficult to look away.
6. John Byrne Wolverine
During the Hulk cameo, fans got to see a first look at the Wolverine in the yellow suit. Deadpool called out how he was wearing the “classic John Byrne brown and tan” suit that the comic artist John Byrne designed for the character.
7. The Cavillerine
Finally, the film introduced one of the most beloved cameos in the entire film; Henry Cavill as a variant of Wolverine. While fans have been fan casting him in the role for years and there were rumors of his involvement in the film, they were still skeptical.
It is safe to say that no one was ready when the actor turned around and faced the audience in the classic Logan look, with a cigar in his mouth and his adamantium claws ready.
