Every gamer should know the name Fortnite as it is one of the biggest games over the past few years. The battle-royale juggernaut has been getting a lot of crossovers with numerous titles over the past few years. So far, this trend doesn’t seem to be slowing down as a Futurama x Fortnite crossover has now been announced to celebrate the classic animated comedy’s revival on Hulu with numerous items in the games store for purchase.

What has been brought to Fortnite from Futurama?
Throughout the Fortnite store, there are numerous things on sale in regard to Futurama, as currently there are three brand new skins based on the main cast that the show focuses on, which are Fry, Leela and Bender, whilst also having an alternate colour scheme for each character. So far, these aren’t the only additions to the store as each character also receives their very own backpack, which can be bought alongside them as Fry gets a backpack with the Hypnotoad on it, Bender gets his son Ben Rodriquez, and finally, Leela gets Nibbler who is a recurring character on the show.

Also, with every character comes a brand new pickaxe skin which can be bought separately, as Fry gets his giant nutcracker, Bender gets the unbreakable girder and finally, Leela also receives a golden fiddle, as this is shown off in the teaser trailer for the crossover. Finally, the last items that are currently on sale in the Fortnite store is the Planet Express Ship from the show, which is used as a glider for players to use to drop onto the island when they play the game, and once in the game, there is also a featured dance emote which features in the show called the Zoidberg Scuttle which can also be obtained in the store.
As well as these items that have been added to the store, there is also a brand new weapon that has been added to Fortnite, which is Bender’s Ray gun which can be found in the game or bought from Bender during a match as he will be an NPC in the game world.
How much will these items cost?
At the moment, all of these items come in two bundles which can be bought in-game with Fortnite’s currency, V-bucks, so far the two bundles are called Futurama Bundle, which holds the characters and the back bling, and also Futurama Gear Bundle, which contains the three pick axes, the glider and the Zoidberg Dance emote. Currently, the Futurama Bundle costs 2,800 V-bucks, and the Futurama Gear Bundle costs 1,800 V-bucks.

Looking at the prices of these bundles in V-bucks doesn’t sound too bad, but when you look at a real-world cost to purchase 5,000 V-bucks, it can cost up to £25.99, and that would be the cost to obtain all of the new items that are now in the store from Futurama. Luckily if somebody only wanted select skins or items, they don’t have to buy the bundles, as all of the items can be bought separately at a much cheaper price.
