Gears of War is one of the most popular third-person shooter franchises. The first game came out back in 2006 and the latest Gears 5 came out in 2019. Xbox Summer Showcase presented Gears of War: E-Day and players can’t hide their excitement and have been speculating ever since about the game.
One fan has come to realize that Gears 5 didn’t have such remarkable skins as seen in Gears of War 4 and one player hopes that they will return with the next installment of the game.
Gears of War 4 Had the Best Skin Packs
Gears of War 4 wasn’t praised just for the campaign and gameplay but for some features unseen in other titles in the franchise. Notable among these features was the infamous Zombie Carmine skin.
This was something to behold incorporating all the zombie aesthetics you can imagine.
I think Anthony really likes infecting his guns.

Along with Raven and Gold Weapon skins, players had so much to customize and experiment with, leaving their own footprint in the game. The attention to detail in these skins was something that set the game apart from other titles in the franchise.
Gears 5 was a complete contrast to the previous game and was criticized for many aspects, including lacking the same level of skin creativity. Many players felt that the new skins did not live up to the high standards set by Gears of War 4, leading to disappointment within the community.

While Gears 5 had Zombie skins they were nowhere near as popular as in the Gears of War 4. This left a huge gap in the latest title in the franchise, but Gears of War: E-Day has a chance to bring back some of the greatest skins ever seen in video games.
Fans are still lamenting over the loss of Anthony Carmine Zombie Skin as they compare Gears of War 4 and Gears 5.
One fan took to Reddit to say that Gears of War 4 is way better than 5 just because of that. And then added that it outmatches Gears 5 in every way.

With that said, the upcoming title in the franchise can bring back the legacy of the Carmine family and the Zombie Skin popularity that comes with it. The fourth main game was released in 2016 and was built with Unreal Engine 4.
The upcoming title is being made in Unreal Engine 5 which promises to deliver an ultimate graphical experience and smooth gameplay. If the Zombie Carmine Skins are back, undoubtedly, E-Day can’t fail.
