The last few chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen manga did a great job of focusing on the story of Takaba. Considering the way Gege Akutami is writing this character, it is pretty simple to assume that he incorporated a lot of thought into the character. Takaba’s story won’t be a short ride wrapped in a chapter or two. That is why even after four chapters, the fight between Takaba and Kenjaku doesn’t look like it has concluded or is close to its end either.

In the previous chapter of the manga, we got an insight into Takaba’s life while he was growing up and his true motivations for becoming a comedian in the first place. As those panels went by, readers understood that the story would be focusing on Takaba and his cursed technique, which would be explained better in the upcoming chapters. Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 242 delved into explaining Takaba’s cursed technique and did a great job at it.

Readers were mindblown after realizing the true abilities of his powers and what they were capable of right from the get-go. Gege Akutami surprised his readers quite well with how Takaba’s powers can be used in the upcoming chapters.
