One would think having kissed Hollywood stars like Jason Sudeikis and Will Smith would make it a tad bit difficult for Eva Mendes to pick her favorite. Apparently not though since the Hitch actress couldn’t get enough of her kiss with Johnny Depp. So, we clearly have a winner.
Mendes, 49, once shared the screen with the Pirates of the Caribbean actor back in 2003 when they starred in Robert Rodriguez’s $90 million western drama, Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Sure, the Ghost Rider actress has had plenty of great on-screen kisses, but Depp certainly seemed to have topped them all.
Johnny Depp Was Eva Mendes’ Best On-Screen Kiss
From Nicolas Cage to Gabriel Macht, Eva Mendes has shared some great, steamy kisses with her co-stars. But nobody quite lived up to Johnny Depp’s standard. The two shared the screen in Once Upon a Time in Mexico where Mendes starred opposite the Donnie Brasco star and the two shared an unforgettable kiss. So much so, that she regretted not kissing the Golden Globe winner “longer.”
The Last Night actress had initially found Depp to be quite “intimidating” because that had been her first time collaborating with someone she’d been so infatuated with. Eventually, though, the two gelled in soon and Mendes got her best on-screen kiss ever.
“All of my screen kisses were the best, though I regret not kissing Johnny Depp for longer. I was so intimidated by him. It was the first time I had worked with an actor who I had crushed on as a little girl.”
But Mendes, at that time, had been single. Because if she’d be asked about her best kiss today, then her answer is definitely going to be about a certain 6 ft blonde heartthrob who she’s been with for over a decade now.
Eva Mendes And Ryan Gosling Are Head Over Heels in Love
The Training Day star first started dating Ryan Gosling all the way back in 2011 when they met on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines, and their relationship has only gotten stronger ever since. Although the duo has always made it a point to keep their romantic life as private as possible, Mendes clandestinely confirmed in November 2022 that she’d married her beau.
The pair are currently proud parents to two daughters, Esmeralda, 7, and Amada, 6. But even to this very date, Mendes and Gosling like to keep their relationship away from the world’s prying eyes. Good for them, 12 years and counting!
