Call of Duty often likes to experiment with new characters/operators that highlight the existing season’s theme and what players can look forward to unlocking. However, sometimes, the creators decide to give older characters a new look, and it seems that Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley is getting a new outfit after all.
This variant of Ghost will don a cowboy hat, and what seems to be a golden mask. A little different from the usual white and spooky variant of it, but this seems to be a warm welcome anyhow. The skin will arrive in Call of Duty: Mobile’s next season and the leaks are already here.
The next season introduces a variety of different skins for operators, guns, and more
While Call of Duty: Mobile is still enjoying its Lunar New Year season, leaks for the next one have already surfaced, and there’s a lot to look forward to. The entire season doesn’t seem to focus on achieving a singular theme, rather, introduces a lot of callbacks and weapons that players may have seen before.
Out of these leaks, one important skin certainly comes from Ghost himself; the legendary operator known to Call of Duty fans often as the poster child of several games. This time around, Ghost will show off a unique variant. From the leaked image, there’s a fancy gun skin, a hat, and Ghost’s classic mask in a different color.

Throughout the different Call of Duty games, Simon Riley has been an important character in the game’s narrative. While there’s no one-dimensional focus on him being the spotlight of next season’s journey, there’s a chance that players will get to see certain POIs and callbacks to his character.
Not all Call of Duty games are getting the ‘cool skins’ treatment
Recently, a discussion around the lack of great skins in Modern Warfare 3 seemed to have riled up the need for better skins overall. At present, the only great skins come from accessing the entire battle pass, which makes the deal less appealing to those who are looking to purchase individual skins.
Things may work a little differently in the mobile version of the game, however. There’s a lot of ‘luck factor‘ at play here, with mythic-level skins. Players may get extremely lucky and earn their favorite skins. Or, choose to pay much more money and get the exact skin they want. Moreover, skins in the mobile version of the game have some high-quality material almost every season.
Unfortunately, this design decision becomes a bit problematic when it comes to the console/PC version of the game. Simon Riley getting a new variant would be an absolutely cool thing, but there’s little evidence to support if that’s something that will happen anytime soon.
