Did Marvel Offer A Role To Giancarlo Esposito?

Following his intense showdown with Walter White, Giancarlo Esposito ventured into the realm of superhero content, lending his voice to characters in DC films such as Son of Batman. However, in 2016, the actor left no room for doubt that he had a strong desire to be part of the Marvel universe.

“I love those guys at Marvel. We’ve been trying to figure out how to collaborate on something.”

The mutual admiration between Esposito and the entertainment industry became evident when he received an offer for a role in an undisclosed television series.

According The Nerdist, Esposito might have been extended an invitation to portray Dominic Fortune in the unproduced ABC series,  “Marvel’s Most Wanted.” However, the specific role remains a mystery, as it could have been a part in Daredevil or Luke Cage. Regardless, Esposito’s interest remained undeterred.

It appears that Esposito had a preference for mingling with Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, rather than teaming up with Matt Murdock and Jessica Jones. After all, the lucrative opportunities were within the Avengers’ circle. Who wouldn’t relish the chance to befriend or even engage in battles alongside these iconic characters?

Giancarlo Esposito Could Make His DCU Debut Soon

During his engagement with fans at the ComicCon Panama event, the actor disclosed that he had been in discussions with James Gunn regarding a role in the DC Extended Universe (DCU). This announcement marked the official response to the long-standing speculations that had been circulating on the internet for quite some time.

“I have been talking to James Gunn about the possibility of being in a movie – so who knows?”
