Paul Mescal is among the rising actors in the Hollywood industry who gained recognition for starring in the 2022 drama films God’s Creatures and Aftersun. Given his acting potential, he has already been nominated for an Academy Award and BAFTA Film Award. His acting talent is not to be underestimated which is why he is currently making waves for reportedly being associated with Marvel Studios.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has already unfolded its cards for what lies ahead in the franchise. Among the anticipated projects, The Fantastic Four film is recently making quite headlines for its cast. And now, the film is being linked with the Irish actor.
Paul Mescal is Reportedly in Talks for Fantastic Four
Ever since Marvel acquired the film rights for the Fantastic Four which happened when The Walt Disney Company purchased the 20th Century Fox in 2019, that project has been gaining the fans’ attention.
Though there was no update about the project in much frequency, it is now pacing up. While the casting for the upcoming film is yet to happen, industry insider, Daniel Richtman has reported that Paul Mescal is approached with an offer to play the role of Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch in the upcoming film, Fantastic Four.
Mescal is also in the leading role for the upcoming Gladiator 2, which would mean that his alleged offer by the MCU project would further explore his talent. Though there is no information from Marvel or Disney about his casting which would mean that Richtman’s exclusive scoop would remain a mystery until it gets an official greenlight.
While there is not much to say about the casting of the 2025 film, there is a person who is aware of the actors that will work on that project.

Mila Kunis was also one of the stars who got dragged into the Fantastic Four project after she was spotted meeting the film director, Matt Shakman. It led to many believing that she would be considered for Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman. It was also rumored that she might join as the gender-swapped, The Thing.
However, she addressed those rumors in The Late Late Show With James Cordon stating,
“We went out to a deli and had lunch together. And then, the next day, I was somehow in Fantastic Four.”
While she clarified her association with the film, she asserted that she is aware of the people who are going to be in the film. Though she did not reveal the names, it is quite fair as she would not want to trouble herself with the franchise.
Fantastic Four is set to release on February 14, 2025.
