Desktop players hope their gaming rigs meet the official God of War Ragnarok PC specs. It was only a matter of time before the sequel would leap from the PlayStation 5 platform to PC and not hold it back and keep it tethered for other players to experience.
The game developers recently unveiled the requirements to run this game on PC and it is a doozy. PC players will need to get their hands on better equipment to make the most out of this jaw-dropping and emotional tale of the gods and other mythological creatures.

The gaming community has high expectations for Santa Monica Studio after releasing the Greek Saga years ago and transcending the franchise to new heights with the significant overhauls made in the Norse Saga. Some fans hope for a remake of the original God of War trilogy highlighting the graphical improvements and a seamless transition to the sequels.
The developers have their sights on something bigger and more ambitious which is porting the recent games to another platform. PC players are in for a treat now that the final chapter of the Norse Saga is making its way onto their platform; however, Sony revealed the God of War Ragnarok PC Specs which could be a tall order for those with a modest gaming rig.

The game was initially released on the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5. The developers admitted that they could not utilize the horsepower of the current-generation machine and make adjustments for the game to run on previous-generation hardware. PC players can set their settings to the maximum limit if their gaming rigs can handle it.
Fans were captivated by how the developers visualized the different environments and biomes across the Nine Realms which will look even better on PC. Santa Monica Studio wanted to deliver an epic tale and end the Norse Saga on a high note while giving players a beautiful world to explore.
Desktop Players Are in for a Treat With the PC Port of God of War Ragnarok
The PlayStation 5 offered a great experience with a significant increase in power; however, the developers were held back, and the visuals were not much different than the predecessor. This is not necessarily bad, but the game is treated as a cross-generation title rather than a full next-generation project.
Perhaps the PC port will give the game the treatment it deserves and show the gaming community how much better it would look on a powerful gaming rig. The success of the Norse Saga could encourage the game developers to explore smaller stories set within the Nine Realms as an epilogue to Ragnarok before the next major saga.
Regardless of platform, porting the game to different systems is the best way to share this experience and introduce it to a broader player base. The PC community is an untapped pool of potential and Sony is making the most of it by sharing first-party exclusive titles to gain their favor.
The developers worked on the franchise for years and it wouldn’t make sense to keep it tethered to one platform. Players on PC will wait a few short months to experience the Norse Saga in earnest.
